Fatias Douradas - French Toast

Today I will share with you the recipe for Fatias Douradas, known in the United States as breakfast food under the name of French Toast and in the UK as Eggy Bread.

Ingredients

1 loaf of sliced bread
4 eggs
warm milk
cooking oil
sugar
cinnamon






Preparation

. the loaf should be from the day before.

. dip the slices in the warm milk and in the beaten eggs.

. fry them in hot oil and turn them till they're golden brown.

. put them on a plate covered with paper tissue in order to soak up the remaining oil.


. sprinkle them with cinnamon and sugar.

  1. You should warm the milk with lemon rind, a spoon of sugar and cinnamon stick, before dunking the bread in the milk, drain and then dunk in the wisked egg. Also you should dunk them in sugar and cinnamon while they are hot...

  2. i use flavored creamers for flavors......and cinnamon.....that is really all you need
